Diesel Service Technician
We have a great direct hire opportunity for entry level through experienced Diesel Service Technicians in the Buffalo, NY area.
Our client, a family owned and operated business, is adding Diesel Service Technicians to their growing company.
The responsibilities of the Diesel Service Technician include, but are not limited to the following:
-Ability to read and interpret documents and ability to write reports.
-The ability to perform basic math including fractions and decimals, and ability to compute date, ratios, and simple percentages.
-Thoroughly diagnosis vehicles and identify the required parts for the repair by using Excelerator or comparable software.
-Perform all required work identified on the work order and ensure repairs align with the standards of dealership and the factory.
-Successfully complete vehicle safety checks and an 18-pt inspection.
-Ensure that you comply with all federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA Right-to-Know, hazardous waste disposal, etc.
This is a day shift position. Pay varies based on skill set and certifications, see below.
Level 1 - $16-$18
Level 2 - $18-$20
Level 3 - $20-$25
Level 4 - $25-$30
Level 5 - $30-$35

Education & Certifications:
-Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited 2-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience or a combination of both.
-2-4 years of experience
-Must complete Systems Certification for Daimler Trucks and Detroit -Diesel Engines within one year of hire.
-Ability to obtain the New York State Inspectors License Light, Medium, and Heavy
Qualifications:
-Effectively complete the required tasks within the allotted time and effective communication.
-Be able to lift up to 120lbs.
