Engineering Construction Group Manager
Trillium Professional has a direct hire opportunity for a Engineering Construction Group Manager Transportation.
This role offers a hybrid work schedule and can be based out of the Chicagoland or Crown Point area. Pay is $160k/year.
Job duties:
-You’ll manage and administer transportation construction projects, oversee and manage all construction staff to the highest efficiency and strengths.
-You’ll assist with business development & project pursuit management.
-You’ll assist with client coordination and overall planning.
-You have team skills, communication skills, leadership and human resources management skills.
-You’ll be responsible for overall construction project coordination (internal and external).
-You will provide work assignments and review performance to ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
-You must be able to develop and implement QC plans, safety plans, and schedules.
-You must be able to complete weekly/monthly reports on work progress, as well as conduct status meetings with the department/division manager to update status on the schedule and budget.
-You’ll coordinate and direct staff and subconsultants.
-You’ll perform direct reports performance reviews

Qualifications:
-You have bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field from accredited program, and at least -10 years of experience. You’re also a licensed professional engineer. Having 30 Hour OSHA Training is a plus; PMP certification is a plus.
-You have proven work experience with IDOT, Tollway CDOT, counties and municipalities with construction management.
-You understand all facets of the transportation construction process and standards (IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, FHWA, etc.).
-You have advanced knowledge of roadway construction, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
-You’re proficient with business and engineering applications. Microsoft Office, Microstation and/or AutoCAD proficiency are a must.
-You have great team and leadership skills. You also have excellent written & verbal communication skills.
