Director of Engineering
Trillium Construction is now seeking a Director of Engineering in the Greater Buffalo area.
The Fabrication Project Manager directly manages projects from conception, design, quotation, build, ship, support through erection/installation, and project close out.
Our client is a nationwide company providing equipment in a variety of industries such as: Asphalt, Minging, AG, Power General, Storage Tanks and General construction.
Pay: is up to $125k+ full benefits. a $5k relocation and a separate $5k sign on bonus are included.
Duties:
• Prepare quotations on a timely basis for stand-alone fabrication projects using clients’ drawings, specifications, direct communications, and individual expertise as a basis for the quotation.
• Develop proposals
• Communicate regularly with customers regarding project status, technical, schedule, cost, and design related issues.
• Manage project cost versus estimated costs, including extras.
• Coordinate subcontract work (i.e. coatings, machining, fabrication, etc.) as well as trucking activities as needed to support project requirements.

Qualifications:
• Fabrication Supervisory experience: (Required)
• Associates degree in a technical field preferred with 5 years equivalent experience in steel fabrication, structural steel, industrial project management/estimating.
• Strong ability to read and interpret contract documents including drawings and specifications.
• Ability to craft written scope.
