CNC Machinist

Trillium Staffing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision arts according to detailed specifications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of machining processes, be capable of reading blueprints, and work well in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
-Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders) according to work orders and engineering drawings.
-Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining processes and requirements.
-Strong understanding and experience with G & M codes 
-Inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet tolerances and specifications.
-Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
-Document work performed, including time logs, production output, and quality control records.

Full-time position with potential overtime during peak production periods.
Work is performed in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and materials.
Must adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Compensation: $27 - $30 per hour DOE
Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k)), quarterly bonus program, annual profit sharing, PTO and tuition reimbursement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
-5 -15 years experience as a CNC Machinist, with the ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines.
-Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings.
-Strong knowledge of machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and drilling.
-Experience with G-code programming and familiarity with CAM software.
-Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control processes.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
-Good physical stamina, able to lift and move materials as required.
-Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Education and Experience:
-High school diploma or GED required.
-Technical certification or apprenticeship in CNC Machining or related field preferred.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC machining role.
