Bender Applications Engineer

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Bender Applications Engineer for direct-hire placement!

Join our dynamic team as an Application Specialist, where you’ll be the technical expert helping customers find the perfect machine solution for their unique needs. Reporting directly to the Applications Manager, you’ll leverage cutting-edge technology to conduct equipment demos, perform application tests, and provide advanced technical support to our regional and product managers. Your expertise will ensure that our customers experience maximum efficiency and success.

Key Responsibilities
-Analyze customer designs and specifications to assess the feasibility of utilizing advanced machinery.
-Perform time studies to determine optimal machine solutions, delivering results promptly.
-Conduct thorough application analyses and recommend the ideal bending equipment for customer projects.
-Lead hands-on demonstrations for customers at our state-of-the-art facility in Novi, MI.
-Collaborate with the Applications Manager and Bender Product Manager to manage equipment, tooling, and materials inventory in the Solution Center.
-Handle customer service inquiries related to bender applications and provide advanced technical assistance.
-Occasionally travel to customer sites for field support and advanced training.
-Oversee commissioning and calibration of benders within the Solutions Center.
-Develop demonstration parts and showcase bender software at industry tradeshows.
-Assist in creating sales tools for new product features or machinery.
-Maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and support.
-Travel to Italy for ongoing training on the latest software and hardware, up to twice a year.
-Travel domestically up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications
-Associate’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience/military training.
-Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in bending, including setup, service, maintenance, or CNC part programming.
-Valid Driver’s License with a clean record (no more than two points in the last three years).
-In-depth knowledge of bending tool designs and how they integrate with specific machines and applications.
-Strong grasp of statistical evaluations and robotic cell integration.
-Ability to provide technical guidance and support to team members.
-Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of personalities.
