Machine Builder

Kalamazoo company is looking for a Machine Builder to assist in building assemblies and sub-assemblies for specialty machines.  

The Machine Builder position includes, but is not limited to, the performance of a variety of duties:
-Performs fabrication of components, including operation of lathes, drills, press brake, mills, saw shear, welding, and some CNC machine operation, ensuring products are manufactured on time and to print.
-When qualified, the Machine Builder may assist as a field service technician, auditing and repairing machines at customer’ sites. 
-Performs limited incoming inspections.  Use weight counters, tape measures, and visual judgement.
-Performs various duties in shipping and receiving and storing both incoming materials and parts completed in manufacturing.
-Requisitions and manages tooling as required.
-Drives Lift Truck (Will be site-certified).
-Performs other duties and tasks as assigned and these may include cleaning of parts and machines, spray painting, loading and unloading trucks, and material delivery or pickup.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Pay Rate: $20 - $24 an hour.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Requires facility in reading, writing, fundamental arithmetic, and use of tape measures, weighing scales, and other measurement tools.
-Analytical, problem solving skills.
-Ability to interpret engineering CAD drawings.
-Job will require some lifting, proximity to chemicals, and handling potentially sharp objects.

Requirements:
-High School diploma
-Basic computer skills
-Safe driving record
-Safety-Focused
-Quality assurance/inspection experience
