Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Kalamazoo!

Standard Hours are Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, OT schedule (after first week) 6am-4pm. Starting rate of pay is $18-20/hr with prior Warehouse Experience.

The employee will prepare goods for shipment and determine the best methods for packing each item to prevent damage and minimize costs.  They will record shipment data, including weight, lot codes, and number of pieces/pallets.  

-Maintains knowledge of HazMat labeling requirements and ensures that all HazMat products are handled to meet standards.  
-Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.  
-Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.  
-Verifies and maintains records on incoming and outgoing shipments.  
-Arranges for outgoing transportation as needed.  
-Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the shipping and receiving field.  
-Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  
-Works under general supervision.
