Trillium Construction is now seeking a Project Estimator in Elmira, NY!

Salary: $70k Salary per year.

Trillium Construction is seeking a highly motivated Project Estimator for a direct hire opportunity with a leading commercial construction company.

This company has been providing general contracting, construction management, and other services in Central New York and Northern Pennsylvania for over 70 years. The role involves estimating the costs and timelines of commercial construction projects in a competitive bid environment, working alongside a dedicated team to drive project success.

The Project Estimator will work closely with a team to quantify, analyze, and plan upcoming commercial construction projects. This includes soliciting participation from subcontractors and suppliers, accurately estimating project costs and timelines, and ensuring all aspects of the bidding process are addressed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
-Estimate the cost and time requirements for commercial construction projects.
-Solicit bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers, confirming the scope for projects.
-Perform material quantity take-offs and pricing for projects.
-Source suppliers and solicit equipment pricing to complete project bids.
-Understand and plan project schedules to determine project durations and labor estimates for bidding purposes.
-Assist in determining project budgets and timelines, contributing to project planning and management.

Qualifications:
-High school diploma required; a vocational or college diploma in construction or related fields is preferred.
-Ability to read blueprints and project specifications with experience in the construction industry.
-CAD drafting skills, Bluebeam experience, or familiarity with reviewing construction documents is a plus.
-OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification is beneficial.
-Strong computer skills required, including experience with Timberline estimating software, Microsoft Project Scheduling, P6 Primavera, Adobe Acrobat, and other related systems.
-Knowledge of safety regulations and construction documentation processes.
