Project Manager
Trillium Construction is currently seeking to hire a Project Manager specializing in Commercial Retail for our client located in Stilwell, Kansas.
As a Commercial Retail Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of retail development projects. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of retail industry dynamics, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, design, construction, and leasing, to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and make necessary adjustments to stay on track.
2. Budgeting and Cost Management:
Prepare project budgets and forecasts, monitoring expenditures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and maximize cost efficiency.
Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising project quality or timelines.
3. Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Facilitate effective communication channels between different project teams and ensure all stakeholders are informed of project milestones, risks, and decisions.
4. Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project timelines or outcomes, implementing proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
Resolve project-related issues in a timely manner, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to find practical solutions.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Establish quality standards and performance metrics for each project, conducting regular inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Implement basic practices and quality assurance processes to uphold the integrity and reputation of the retail brand.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
-Proven experience in project management with the commercial retail sector, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
-Strong understanding of retail industry trends, market dynamics, and customer preferences.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
-Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Procore, Asana, or similar applications.
-Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
-PMP or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
