Wind Turbine Technician - Per Diem Offered

Trillium Construction is now seeking traveling Wind Turbine Technicians for full-time work!

Candidates will perform major wind turbine component replacements (blades, gearboxes, generators, pitch bearings, hubs) and heavy rigging operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. If you have a CP Certification from SGRE, please apply!

Responsibilities include:
-Troubleshooting and repairs to specialty equipment
-Perform heavy rigging operations up to 100 tons.
-Operate Liftra equipment
-Travel when required (4-6 weeks at a time)

Compensation:
-Lead Tech: $36–$39/hr.
-Tech 3: $32–$36/hr.
-Tech 2: $28–$32/hr.
-Tech 1 (Entry-Level): $22–$28/hr.

Qualifications
-Capable of climbing to and working at heights of 300 feet or more.
-Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
-Mechanical knowledge
-Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
-Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
-Microsoft Office Software knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Education
-High School Diploma or GED – preferably from a technical school Experience
-At least 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance – preferably in major component exchange – -Exceptions based on experience and background
-Familiarity with heavy rigging preferred
-Must be able to pass core safety, climbing and other required training courses
-CP Certification from SGRE
-Must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and proof of insurance coverage
-Must be willing to obtain a class A CDL with air brake endorsement

Driving Record Requirements
-Valid current state license without restrictions
-No license suspension or restrictions within previous 3 years
-No DWI/DWA/OWI/OUI etc. within previous 5 years
-No more than 3 points on the motor vehicle report within the previous 3 years
