Construction Superintendent
Trillium Construction is seeking a Commercial Superintendent for a direct hire opportunity with a general contractor that specializes in commercial development and construction.
We are looking for experienced Commercial Superintendents to join our team in Tyler, Texas. This position will oversee construction projects, with a particular focus on commercial construction and medical building projects. Whether you have general commercial construction experience or have specific experience in medical building projects, we want to hear from you!
The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing job site operations, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will work closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure smooth project execution and successful delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
-Oversee the scheduling of work for crews, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure maximum efficiency and quality.
-Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and that all personnel on-site (including subcontractors) are properly trained.
-Manage project layout and ensure proper grading and accurate structure placement.
-Review and interpret plans and specifications for commercial and medical building projects.
-Coordinate with the Project Manager to keep project schedules up-to-date and accurate.
Review schedule status and job costs weekly.
-Maintain inventory control over tools, equipment, and materials.
-Maintain a daily log of jobsite activities and progress.
-Ensure proper execution of change orders and updates to as-built plans.
-Attend pre-construction and construction meetings.
-Assist inspectors during project reviews and implement quality control inspections.
Annual salary is $75,000 - $115,000 per year (based on experience). Benefits: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance, $100 phone allowance, company-issued laptop and iPad.

General Requirements:
-4+ years of commercial construction experience or equivalent education.
-Medical building experience preferred, but not required. (Experience with healthcare or medical facilities construction is a plus.)
-Strong math skills and knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards (OSHA).
-Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
-Ability to estimate time and materials for projects.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
-High school diploma or GED required (further education/certifications a plus).
-Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel out of town if needed.
-Must be able to work overtime and effectively handle multiple tasks.
