Director of Integration
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Director of Integration for a remote position!
The Director of Integration leads the planning, development, implementation, and management of electronic data exchange systems and processes across a large healthcare system’s EHR infrastructure. This role ensures efficient and secure information exchange between departments and external partners while overseeing a team of analysts responsible for monitoring transactions and resolving any failures. The Director plays a critical role in developing new systems by analyzing requirements, producing mapping documents, testing systems, and establishing communication protocols.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies for integrating Electronic Health Records (EHR), Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Hospital Information Systems (HIS), and third-party applications
• Ensure seamless exchange of patient information using HL7, FHIR, and API-based integrations
• Oversee system implementation, migration, and upgrades while managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
• Collaborate with IT, clinical teams, and administrative departments to optimize workflow efficiency
• Ensure all integrations meet security & compliance requirements by adhering to HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulatory standards to protect patient data
• Partner with third-party vendors and consultants to negotiate contracts, troubleshoot issues, and improve system functionality.
• Monitor system integration metrics, identifying opportunities for workflow enhancements and user experience improvements.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred)
• 7-10 years of experience in healthcare IT, system integration, or interoperability solutions (Preferred)
• 4+ years of supervisor experience (Preferred)
• Expertise in HL7, FHIR, API integration, database management, and cloud-based healthcare solutions
• Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience with EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, or other healthcare EHR platforms
