Building Maintenance Specialist

Trillium is looking for a Building Maintenance Specialist!

Under general supervision, this role involves specialized maintenance and mechanical repair of the department’s facilities to ensure continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities:
· Review work requests, progress, schedules, and priorities to ensure efficient use of personnel and equipment.
· Handle emergency and unscheduled work requests, arranging prompt services.
· Perform quality control to ensure repairs and work are completed correctly.
· Prepare reports, work orders, and documentation as required.
· Respond to customer requests, status updates, and complaints; research and resolve issues appropriately.
Areas of Responsibility:
· Electrical systems
· Mechanical systems
· Plumbing
· HVAC
· Infrastructure repairs and maintenance
Additional Duties:
· Conduct safety and environmental checks, coordinating with building engineering and management.
· Support janitorial services to maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
· Assist with parts operations, including scrapping and disposal.
· Operate material handling equipment such as Hilo, Skid-Steer, and Pallet Jacks.

Required Skills:
· Interpersonal Relationships/Customer Service: Develop and maintain cooperative and professional relationships with employees.
· High School Diploma
· 5 years of Maintenance experience.
· Computer Skills: Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and related software to complete administrative tasks efficiently.
· Time Management: Plan and organize daily work routine, estimate completion times, and establish personal schedules accordingly.

Physical Requirements:
· Regular performance of moderately physically demanding tasks.
· Combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
· Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling moderately heavy objects and materials.
