Quality Control Inspector

Trillium Construction is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a reputable client in Swainsboro, GA.

This position involves ensuring the quality and accuracy of structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in welding inspection and knowledge of industry codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
-Perform visual and dimensional inspections throughout fabrication, including receiving, fit-up, weld prep, final welds, and paint.
-Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
-Maintain detailed inspection records for quality assurance and production control.
-Resolve drawing discrepancies in coordination with detailers.
-Coordinate with customer inspectors during various inspection phases.
-Report fabrication defects to foremen.
-Assist shop staff in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.

Pay rate is $35-40/hour. This is a temp-to-hire position offering the potential for long-term employment based on performance and client needs.

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or equivalent.
-Minimum of 3 years of relevant QC experience in steel fabrication.
-A verifiable vocational or technical program may substitute for one year of experience.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe.
-Ability to interpret structural and miscellaneous steel blueprints.
-Familiarity with AWS and AISC codes and standard weld inspection procedures.

Tools & Equipment:
-Tape measure, weld gauges, level, square, flashlight, and other inspection tools.
