Data Analyst
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Data Analyst in Charlestown!
The first 90 days on site then hybrid 2-3 days. The Application and Data Services Unit within the IT Division is looking for a Solution Analyst with 2-3 years of experience in SQL query writing (PostgreSQL & Oracle), Power BI (dashboard creation, reporting, and data modeling), software testing, and business analysis. This role will bridge the gap between data, applications, and business processes to support decision-making and system improvements. The position will begin as a contract role, with the potential for transition to full-time employment after six to twelve months based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries in PostgreSQL and Oracle for data extraction and reporting.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to provide actionable insights.
• Conduct software testing (functional, regression, UAT) to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Validate and troubleshoot data inconsistencies across various applications and reports.
• Work closely with Vendors, business users, and IT teams to improve application functionality and efficiency.
• Serves as liaison and facilitator between business units to assist in addressing and resolving MyTRS issues with vendor resources.
• Reviews, analyzes, and completes help desk tickets as appropriate to the position.
• Participate in daily huddles and project meetings.
• Assist in process automation and system enhancements.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline
• 2-3 years of experience in writing complex SQL queries using PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, reporting, and data modeling.
• 2-3 years of experience in software testing, including creating test plans, executing test cases, and reporting defects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to anticipate and identify problems and provide appropriate solutions
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
