Tool Builder and Repair Specialist
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Tool Builder & Repair Specialist in Eaton Rapids, MI!
Schedule: Full-time | 5x8-hour shifts with overtime as needed. Pay: $60,000 - $65,000 or more depending on experience.

We don’t just build tools—we build solutions. We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Tool Builder & Repair Specialist to join our Tooling Department. What You’ll Do:
-Step into a vital role where your expertise directly contributes to the quality and success of our world-class automotive components. -You’ll be working hands-on to create, repair, and optimize the very tools that drive our manufacturing excellence.
-Build, fit, and repair tooling to deliver consistent, high-quality output that meets or exceeds customer expectations
-Plan and execute machine shop operations on a wide range of materials and tools with high precision
-Diagnose and solve tool-related challenges with creativity and skill
-Heat treat, weld, and perform detailed handwork on custom jigs, fixtures, and dies
-Inspect and test tooling using gauges, blueprints, and other precision instruments
-Support tooling while in production, troubleshooting issues directly on the shop floor
-Collaborate across departments and provide feedback to product designers to ensure manufacturability of new parts
-Participate in continuous improvement efforts and training programs to grow your technical expertise

What Sets You Apart:
-Active Journeyman’s Card or Certificate (required)
-High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
-5+ years of hands-on experience in high-pressure cast die build and repair (preferred)
-Proficiency operating lathes, mills, surface and ID/OD grinders, spotting presses, and radial arm drills
-Expert blueprint reading and machining from verbal instructions or prototype parts
-Experience with trim tool build and repair
-Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive independently or as part of a team
-Willingness to work overtime and respond to production demands quickly
-Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working in an active manufacturing environment
