Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Journeyman position available in the Eaton Rapids, Michigan area!

1st or 2nd shift position available. This is a direct hire opportunity with a pay range of $37.00 to $40.00 an hour. Must be able to work OT.  

Shifts times:
6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Duties for the Maintenance Journeyman position:
-Maintain, repair and improve all equipment related to production, including machines, presses, robots, furnaces, CNC’s and assembly equipment.
-Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Journeyman position:
-Maintain a safe work environment.
-Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
-Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
-Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and Motoman/ABB robots.
-Operate rigging and heavy lifting equipment.
-Perform fabrication, welding, and equipment repairs.
-Recommend long-term solutions and spare parts.
-Complete and document work orders

Competencies:
-Self-directed and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
-Strong prioritization and communication skills.
-Available to work extended hours, including weekends.
-Capable of coordinating team activities.
-Forklift and overhead crane certification (or ability to obtain).
-Fluent in English (oral and written).

Requirements for the Maintenance Journeyman:
-Must have an active Journeymen’s card or certificate
-HS diploma or equivalent

Work environment:
-Automotive manufacturing setting with 75% time in shop and 25% in production areas.
-Exposure to loud noise, heat, humidity, and seasonal temperature extremes.
-Shift-based schedule (5x8 hours/week) with overtime as needed.
