Senior Construction Estimator
Trillium Construction is hiring for a Senior Construction Estimator in Fort Worth, TX to work with a well-established general commercial contractor and manage the bidding process by meticulously evaluating bid specifications and drawings for all projects.
Duties:
-Ensure precise scoping of plans to solicit bids for all trades and equipment
suppliers necessary for each project.
-Conduct job site surveys and participate in pre-construction job site meetings
to gather essential information
-Prepare in-house detailed take-offs, demonstrating a keen understanding of
project specifications
-Assist in the solicitation of subcontractor bids by recommending
or identifying specific client/landlord-required subcontractors
-Thoroughly review subcontractor bid packages to ensure inclusion of all scope items in their bids
-Take the lead in preparing project schedules, finalizing bids, and submitting them to the client/owner for consideration
-Review owner bid packages meticulously to grasp project
requirements
-Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to assist in
the final selection of subcontractors to be awarded projects.
-Communicate in a professional manner with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders throughout the pre-construction process
-Occasionally provide value engineering and make recommendations for alternatives when appropriate or at the client’s request
Compensation:
-Annual salary between $90,000 - $110,000, with 10% position bonus, and profit-based bonus
-Profit sharing

-Medical and dental insurance 100% paid by employer, or $512/month reimbursement

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
-A minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry is required. Emphasis on retail projects is required and should be outlined during the hiring process.
-Strong analytical and mathematical skills for precise take-offs and bid calculations.
-Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
-Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
-Proficiency in relevant software and tools for estimating.
-Knowledge of value engineering principles.
