Now hiring Pipe Welders in Chicago Heights!

Trillium Construction is now seeking Pipe Welders for a few different sites around East Chicago, IN.

This will be longer term work, around 6+ months, and could be longer, possible to hire on with the company with significant raise after!! Will be mostly all carbon piping. One of the jobsites is an expansion at Marquis Energy Facility in Hennepin, IL, another is the NuFarm Chemical Plant in Chicago Heights, IL. A lot of process piping!! Miles of 16” pipe.

Should know how to read ISO’s.   Must be able to stick and TIG weld.  Two weld tests!!! MUST PASS BOTH!!! Stick test is 2” Carbon sch 160 6g position, 6010 open root and hot pass, 7018 fill and cap.  TIG test is 2” Carbon sch 160, 6 g position, open root, TIG all the way out.   The company will keep you busy on the 3 different job sites. May also be asked to do some fabrication work in their shop for the installs at Hennepin, IL   Candidates will be working 8 - 10-hour days, 5 days per week for the foreseeable future!! Pay is up to $40/hour depending on location and experience level.
