Millwright - Per Diem Offered

Trillium Construction is now seeking a Millwright with Ironworker Experience – Demolition & Installation in Bloomington, IL!

Pay rate is $30-$32  plus Per diem $100 all 7 days. Work will start July 7 and last for 2.5 months - 3 months.

We are seeking a Skilled Millwright with Ironworker Experience for an industrial project involving the demolition and replacement of a hopper. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, precision cutting and welding skills, and comfort working at heights, in manlifts, and in hot weather environments.

Key Responsibilities:
-Perform demolition of structural steel and equipment using oxy-acetylene torches and other cutting tools
-Weld and fabricate supports, brackets, and structural components as needed
-Safely rig and move heavy materials and equipment using hoists, chains, and cranes
-Work from aerial lifts (manlifts), ladders, and elevated platforms
-Remove old hopper systems and assist in the installation and alignment of new hopper units
-Read and interpret blueprints, demolition plans, and technical drawings
-Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE, fall protection, and lockout/tagout protocols
-Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality project execution

Requirements:
-5+ years of Millwright/Ironworker experience, especially in heavy industrial settings
-Proficient in torch cutting, stick/MIG welding, and steel demo techniques
-Experienced in rigging and operating lift equipment
-Must be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in hot outdoor weather conditions
-Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices
-Reliable transportation and ability to work [days/nights/weekends if applicable]
-OSHA 10/30 and aerial lift certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)

-Safety-focused and physically capable of heavy labor in heat-intensive environments
-Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot in the field
-A strong team player with a professional attitude
