Quality Manager

Trillium Professional is now seeking a QA/QC Manager for Solar PV and BESS Projects!

Overview: Seeking a hands-on QA/QC Manager to oversee quality assurance and control for 1–10 MW commercial solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. The role requires frequent travel (up to 100%) to ensure installations meet design specs, code compliance, utility standards, and company quality protocols. As the lead field inspector, you’ll identify risks, enforce corrective actions, document inspections, and support safe, compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct quality control inspections for electrical, civil, and structural aspects of solar PV and BESS.
-Ensure compliance with NEC (Articles 690, 706, 705), NFPA, UL, UL9540, NFPA 855, and local standards.
-Verify proper installation of modules, inverters, racking, wiring, switchgear, batteries, and communication systems.
-Produce detailed inspection reports with photos, punch lists, and corrective action tracking.
-Support pre-commissioning testing and final QA sign-offs.
-Oversee subcontractor quality and escalate non-conformances.
-Identify trends to improve field practices and QA standards.
-Collaborate with safety personnel to align quality with safety protocols.
-Verify materials per project BOM and specs.
-Act as QA/QC lead with clients, utilities, and third-party inspectors.

Requirements:
-3–7 years of QA/QC or inspection experience in commercial solar PV, electrical, or BESS projects.
-Deep knowledge of NEC, UL standards, BESS codes, and solar infrastructure.
-Ability to interpret construction drawings, specs, and one-lines.
-Skilled in generating reports and tracking quality issues.
-Comfortable with independent work and extensive travel.
-OSHA 30 or equivalent; NABCEP PV Installation Professional or -Electrical Journeyman License preferred.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Tools & Tech:
-Procore, PlanGrid, or similar software.
-Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
-Field photo documentation tools (e.g., FTQ360, Raken).
