Epic Beaker Lab Specialist
Trillium Professional is now seeking an Epic Beaker Lab Specialist (Analyst/PM) for a temp-to-hire opportunity!
Seeking highly specialized Epic Beaker Lab Specialists to support the implementation and optimization of the Epic Beaker system in a complex laboratory environment. These are not generalist Epic roles — we’re looking for professionals with deep expertise in Beaker build, instrument integration, and project leadership.
Ideal candidates will bring both technical proficiency and project oversight experience, with strong familiarity in microbiology, clinical lab operations, and instrument interfacing.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead or contribute to the Epic Beaker implementation, including build, testing, validation, go-live, and post-implementation support.
-Collaborate with laboratory staff, IT, clinicians, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of lab instruments and workflows.
-Provide expertise in instrument and data innovation, including Sysmex and Roche laboratory instruments used in hematology, microbiology, and molecular diagnostics.
-Perform Beaker build and troubleshooting, with strong hands-on technical skills.
-Oversee and/or support project management activities related to Beaker deployment and lab system integration.
-Assist in designing and optimizing laboratory workflows within Epic Beaker.
-Work within Business Intelligence (BI) environments to support lab data reporting and analytics.

Required Qualifications:
-Minimum 5+ years of Epic Beaker experience in clinical healthcare environments.
-Hands-on experience with Epic Beaker build, instrument integration, and technical troubleshooting.
-Experience with Sysmex and Roche instruments, particularly in microbiology, hematology, or molecular diagnostics.
-Strong understanding of clinical laboratory workflows, including microbiology and specialty lab areas.
-Proficiency with BI platforms and lab data reporting tools.
-At least one Epic Beaker certification preferred (Beaker CP or AP).
-Proven experience in both analyst and project management roles.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and clinical teams.
Preferred:
-Experience with flow cytometry and other advanced diagnostic instrumentation.
-Direct involvement in Epic system implementations, optimizations, or upgrades.
-Familiarity with Epic’s implementation methodology and change control processes.
