Trillium Staffing is looking for a Sales Engineer in Benton Harbor, MI!

Hours: 8AM - 5PM  - Remote/Hybrid schedule.

We are seeking a motivated and technically knowledgeable Sales Engineer to join our team. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to develop new business opportunities, support existing clients, and present solutions that solve complex challenges related to metal treatment and coatings. The ideal candidate will be able to understand customer requirements, recommend the right treatment solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

Key Responsibilities
-Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
-Work closely with customers to understand their technical challenges and recommend appropriate metal treatment and coating solutions.
-Prepare and deliver technical presentations that clearly explain the benefits of our products and services.
-Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
-Provide timely and accurate proposals, quotes, and follow-ups to secure business.
-Maintain strong, long-term client relationships to drive repeat business.
-Track market trends and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities.
-Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field preferred; equivalent technical/sales experience considered.
-3+ years of sales experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technical services environment.
-Knowledge of plating, coatings, or metal treatments a plus.
-Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear value propositions for customers.
-Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
-Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients.
