Trillium Construction is now hiring in Billings, MT!

Our client is a successful concrete company in Montana specializing in small to large residential and commercial projects. They are now hiring for a Project Safety Coordinator to lead, implement, and maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. This is a long term contracted with a minimum of 1.5 years worth of work and the position is paying up to $45/hr. 

Duties: 
-Promote and model an injury-free culture by engaging with management, supervisors, and craft employees.
-Provide safety coaching and mentoring to project teams and clients.
-Support the development of project-specific safety goals and strategies.
-Implement and enforce corporate, project-specific, and general contractor safety plans.
-Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
-Develop and maintain Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Pre-Task Plans, and hazard recognition/mitigation strategies.
-Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and industrial hygiene monitoring; recommend corrective actions.
-Manage project EHS audit programs, ensuring findings are documented, tracked, and resolved.
-Lead investigations of incidents, injuries, property damage, and near misses.
-Perform root cause analysis and track corrective actions to completion.
-Maintain required OSHA and regulatory recordkeeping and reporting.
-Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and regulatory-required training for employees and subcontractors.
-Ensure training programs are effective, timely, and well-documented.
-Prepare and present project safety performance indicators and trend reports.
-Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with safety requirements.
-Partner with Regional Safety staff to drive consistency in safety processes and share best practices.
-Prepare EHS documentation and reports for internal leadership, clients, and regulatory agencies as required.

Qualifications:
-3–5+ years of construction safety experience required (concrete work preferred).
-Knowledge of OSHA construction standards, EPA/DOT regulations, and industry best practices.
-Professional safety certification (CHST or equivalent) preferred or ability to obtain.
-Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate across varied groups.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to prepare reports and presentations.
-Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments in fast-paced environments.
-Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
-EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Certification Preferred
