Material Handler

Material Handler position available in the Dexter, Michigan area working at our client location who is a leading manufacturer.

The Material Handler is responsible for operating pan washers, auger parts washers, vapor degreasers, and vibratory machines to ensure proper cleaning and processing of parts. This role requires teamwork, good attendance, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Pay rate is $17.00 per hour. 1st shift position, M-F, OT as needed. Hours will be 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities for the Material Handler:
-Operate washing and vibratory equipment safely and efficiently
-Use basic computer skills and scales for accurate weight counting
-Lift up to 50+ pounds as needed
-Make decisions on proper handling and processing cycles
-Transport parts to designated areas on time
-Work effectively with team members and other departments
-Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements for the Material Handler:
-Valid forklift permit
-Understanding of material handling processes
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work collaboratively and make informed decisions

Required Training:
-Emergency and safety training (RCRA, PPE, Ladder Safety)
-Forklift certification (training provided)
