Instrumentation & Controls Technician
Now hiring I&C Technicians in the Litchfield Park, AZ area.
Looking for technicians with at least 6 years of Low Voltage electrical experience and at least 2 years as a technician. Candidates will be required to pass pre-employment screening including background check and drug screening.
Day to day job duties may include the following:
-Performs a variety of instrumentation and automation services, troubleshooting, calibration, installation, testing, and commissioning.
-Troubleshoots instrumentation functionality and I/O operation.
-Terminations to panels and installed equipment.
-Repair instrumentation, typically involving calibration using a variety of meters and tools.
-Sets up new instrumentation and calibrates specifications using schematics and drawings.
-Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment.
-Assists with a variety of related installation and maintenance projects for automating large industrial processes.
-Uses computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce reports.
-Works with engineers testing and commissioning PLC systems.
-Ability to operate MEWPs.
-Tech will need to utilize Fluke Meter 787B.
Pay rate is $31-$35 depending on experience - no per diem available. Schedule is Day Shift, MON-SAT, up to 12 hours per day.
Saturday overtime required up to 12 hours, but normally a half-day. Expected Duration: 4 months with potential for continuation on subsequent projects at the same site. Heath benefits available after 60 days of employment. Paid Holidays & PTO earned as well.

Requirements:
-2+ years experience as an Instrumentation & Controls Technician
-6+ years experience as a Low Voltage electrician
-Ability to work with limited supervision
-Technical knowledge of the operation of AC and DC drives.
-A thorough understanding of all electrical components and electronic devices.
-Show an understanding and demonstrate the processes involved in diagnosing defective components, motors, drives and electronic components.
