Quality Engineer
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support precision CNC machining operations in Bluffton, IN! This is a direct-hire role!
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on the shop floor, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, complex metal components across demanding industries.
What You’ll Do
-Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to support production
-Program and operate Mitutoyo CMM for inspection and validation
-Partner with engineering and production to troubleshoot quality issues
-Monitor scrap and rework; drive continuous improvement efforts
-Interpret blueprints and GD&T to ensure product conformance
-Conduct gage R&R and process capability studies
-Manage gage calibration systems and perform routine calibrations
-Create inspection plans and documentation for new and existing parts
-Support audits, roving inspections, and dock checks
-Maintain quality documentation aligned with QMS/IATF standards
-Compile and analyze data (capability studies, histograms, etc.)

What You Bring
-Experience in manufacturing quality within a CNC environment
-Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
-Hands-on experience with CMM programming and inspection tools
-Familiarity with SPC, ERP systems, and calibration processes
-Working knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO standards
-Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort with precision measurement tools
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office
