Trillium is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Cincinnati!

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong background in HVAC and hydronic heating and cooling systems supporting large-scale industrial and commercial projects. You’ll join a collaborative team of architects, engineers, and project managers delivering sophisticated, high-performance facilities with construction values reaching $500 million for nationally recognized clients.

This Direct-Hire role provides the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer with end-to-end ownership of mechanical design initiatives, allowing you to influence projects from early concept through construction documents. As a senior technical leader, you’ll drive complex mechanical solutions, guide multidisciplinary teams, collaborate directly with clients, and help establish performance and quality standards across the organization—all within a supportive environment focused on technical excellence and long-term growth.

Responsibilities:
-Lead the design of HVAC, hydronic heating and cooling, and process air handling systems for large industrial and commercial facilities
-Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver fully integrated, constructible designs
-Prepare, review, and approve construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
-Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and best-practice guidance to junior engineers
-Collaborate directly with clients and internal teams to ensure designs meet performance objectives, budgets, and regulatory requirements
-Oversee the design and integration of mechanical utilities and plumbing systems

Schedule: 1st Shift / Monday – Friday / 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Compensation: $130,000+ depending on what you bring to the team.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME, BSMET, BSAE) or related discipline
-Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
-10+ years of experience designing HVAC systems, mechanical utilities, and process heating and cooling systems
-Demonstrated expertise with boiler and chiller central plant design
-Strong working knowledge of HVAC control systems and system integration
-Proficiency in Revit and construction documentation standards

-Advanced technical knowledge of complex HVAC and mechanical -utility systems
-Collaborative problem-solver who excels in multidisciplinary project environments
-Strong communication and leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and team development
