Chemical Technician
Chemical Technician position available in the Dearborn, Michigan area working at our client location who is an established manufacturer & leader in the testing industry.
Primary duties in the role involve test lab operations. Will assist and support corrosion, chemical, material science and physical properties laboratory staff by performing a variety of tasks. This is a contract position with potential for growth based on business needs. Pay rate is $22.00 an hour. 8-hour shift-Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM .
Duties and Skills required for the Chemical Technician:
-Familiarity with hands-on tools and standard laboratory testing equipment
-Will perform routine testing (hands-on operations) and sample preparation.
-Responsible for overall performance of assigned laboratory tests or projects
-Responsible for generation of appropriate chemical or physical properties reports
-Adhere to company policies and internal operating procedures from the ISO -17025 quality system during the measurement/testing process.
-Ability to work within fast paced laboratory environment.
-Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols.
-Ability to take ownership of all duties related to Test Lab Operations.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
-Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
-May use a CNC drill press, load and unload parts. Will train.
-Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Chemical Technician position:
-One year of experience in environmental, corrosion, chemical, material science, lab background.
-Polarized light microscope experience.
-Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
-Must be able to pass pre-employment screening.
