Automotive Technician
Trillium Professional is now seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician in Auburn Hills!
The Automotive Student Technician is an entry-level position designed for students pursuing a career in the automotive field. This role provides hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair under the supervision of experienced technicians. The student technician assists with basic service tasks while developing technical skills and industry knowledge.
The assignment is scheduled for 3 months but could go longer for the right candidate. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Pay rate is up to $19.31/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist senior technicians with vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Perform basic services such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery checks, and fluid top-offs
• Help diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools (under supervision)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Properly handle tools and equipment
• Document work performed and report findings to supervising technicians
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development
