Field Service Technician
Trillium seeks Field Service Technicians – NE Regional Travel
This Direct-Hire opportunity is built for technicians who thrive in changing environments and new locations. The Field Service Technician will assemble advanced industrial machinery, support installations, troubleshoot across multiple disciplines, and perform acceptance testing at customer sites.
Schedule is 1st Shift / Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Summer hours) and 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Winter hours). Pay rate is $30.00 to $38.00 per hour DOE / 30% increase during field service travel.
As the Field Service Technician, you must be experienced with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and reading electrical schematics. You’ll apply those skills across hydraulic and pneumatic systems while working through a wide range of equipment and environments. Every assignment brings a new facility, a new challenge, and a new chance to apply your skills.

Responsibilities:
-Assemble machinery and major subassemblies using blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical specifications, including drilling, tapping, aligning, and securing components
-Install and connect mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including shafts, bearings, hoses, wiring, conduit, and control enclosures
-Power up equipment and verify operation of motors, drives, logic controls, and HMI functions while troubleshooting issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
-Support the NE Region and extend into Canada for installations, supervise rigging crews, coordinate licensed contractors, and complete acceptance testing
-Train operators on safe setup, operation, and basic maintenance, and document all work in detailed service reports

-Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics with accuracy
-Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills across multiple systems, including wiring, controls, bearings, gears, and drive components
-Knowledge of electrical wiring and control systems for safe and correct machine connections
-Understanding of PLCs and control systems, including ladder logic, basic programming, and system behavior
-Clear, effective communication with customers and internal teams
-Practical math skills for fractions, percentages, ratios, and basic geometry
-Associate degree is preferred, but candidates with 6 months to 1 year of related technical experience or training will be considered
-Hands-on background in machinery assembly, field service, or industrial equipment preferred
-Experience working with mechanical and electrical systems, including reading schematics and performing troubleshooting in real-world environments
-Must pass a drug test, background check, and a physical to be hired
