Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you a mechanically minded designer who enjoys turning concepts into functional, real-world solutions? Our client is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their engineering team and contribute to the design and development of custom automation equipment, tooling, and mechanical systems.

What You’ll Do
-Design and develop detailed 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
-Create comprehensive manufacturing drawings with all necessary specifications and details.
-Manage CAD files, revisions, and design data using Autodesk Vault.
-Perform design reviews to verify fit, finish, clearances, interference, and serviceability.
-Ensure mechanical designs meet quality standards, customer requirements, and internal specifications.
-Collaborate with fellow designers, machinists, controls engineers, project managers, and customers to keep projects on track.
-Support continuous improvement, design standardization, and customer satisfaction.
-Travel occasionally to customer facilities as needed.

This position requires the ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods, typically 8 or more hours per day. Occasional travel to customer facilities may be required. Pay range - $32-35+ depending on experience.

What You’ll Bring
-Approximately 3 years of experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to translate concepts into practical designs.
-Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
-Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF documentation.
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
-A customer-focused mindset and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
-An associate degree in a related technical field is preferred.
-Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus, but not required.
