Senior FPGA Engineering Manager
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Senior FPGA Engineering Manager in Buffalo, NY (East Aurora/Elma) for a direct-hire opportunity!
Salary is approximately $100,000–$140,000 annually, depending on experience. This is full-time, on site.
Lead a team of approximately five FPGA engineers while contributing directly to FPGA development. This role involves approximately 30% team leadership and development and 70% hands-on design.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead, mentor, and support the professional development of FPGA engineers.
-Assign projects and manage technical milestones, budgets, and schedules.
-Translate system specifications and interface protocols into FPGA design requirements.
-Develop reusable FPGA modules using VHDL and participate in design and code reviews.
-Improve FPGA design and verification processes.

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
-At least five years of relevant FPGA design and VHDL experience.
-Prior engineering leadership or team mentorship experience.
-Proficiency with VHDL and ModelSim simulation.
-Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
-Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
-Knowledge of SPI, I2C, RS-422, RS-485, and MIL-STD-1553 protocols preferred.
-Ability to work fully on-site and meet applicable U.S. security clearance or eligibility requirements.
